Happy July, everyone!
July is going to be a super, super exciting month for me! Here are some updates!
It all started yesterday, on the final day of June, when I finished the first full draft of my new novel, Sculpt Yourself! I wrote this as part of the 2017 JuNoWriMo challenge, where I wrote the entire first draft during the month of June. The goal was to hit 50,000 words, which I accomplished yesterday! At just a little over 50k, the first draft is complete!
Sculpt Yourself is a new-adult contemporary sci-fi romance...I think. I'm going to have to narrow down the genre a little better before I publish it! But there are a lot of revisions ahead of me on this novel.
In the meantime, I'm going to be working on the revisions for One Final Vinyl, the contemporary young-adult novel I've been working on since last summer. I completed the first draft about a year ago, and I need to get some final revisions done on that one before it's ready to get started on publication. I'll be sure to post some updates about that book as well, as things progress!
However, the biggest, most immediate deadline is for The Furever Home Friends! We have our first two books coming out on August 11, and Kickstarter backers should expect to receive their rewards by then, if not slightly earlier. Right now, we're finishing up illustration on those, and then moving on to the book formatting stage. We're also currently getting stuffed animals made for all of our backers who pledged for them! I'll post a more detailed update on just The Furever Home Friends later in the week.
The other big thing happening in July is the premiere of Cice's and my new vlog! So far, we have about six episodes recorded, and are going to finish up some preliminary filming next week. I'll be sure to notify everyone once we're up on YouTube, but our target release date is July 17! So get excited!!
