With the upcoming release, we have a few fun announcements.
First, this is a big one: the books are going to be released in, get ready for it...both hardcover and paperback!
Our Kickstarter backers who pledged for a book will receive a copy in hardcover. Hardcover books will also be available at our signings, events, and any festivals we attend. We'll also have hardcover books available in local bookstores around Chicago. Stay tuned for an announcement on what bookstores will have our hardcover books.
Paperback copies will be available for purchase on Amazon. So, if you don't live near any bookstores that sell the Furever Home Friends books, and we aren't having an event or signing near you, you can still enjoy our books! Paperback copies will be cheaper than their hardcover counterparts as well.
Speaking of events and signings...
Our book launch party has been scheduled for Saturday, August 19 at 2pm Central!
The party will be held at Open Books, located at 651 W Lake Street in Downtown Chicago.
Bring your kids along! (Unfortunately, we have to ask that you do not bring your dogs.) We'll have a reading of the books for kids to listen to. We'll also host a Q&A for any questions you may have about the writing, publishing, or crowdfunding process! Finally, we'll be selling and signing books!
For this event, as well as books we sell in stores and on Amazon, 10% of all our profits will be donated to animal shelters! We want to make sure we're helping animals in need both by telling their stories, and by making sure the shelters have resources to keep all the animals happy.
